Everyday history captured by eight Cumbrian diarists following in the penstrokes of Barrow's Nella Last, the amazing wartime diarist whose work was famously dramatised by Victoria Wood as 'Housewife, 49'.
Our new Nellas from across Cumbria reflect on events national, local and personal, writing for the Mass Observation Archive and letting BBC Radio Cumbria have a little silver key to their diaries too.
